For Ubuntu systems, install tox with `apt install tox`, then simply run `tox` in the top-level directory. Look for any error messages in the (verbose) output. Install the required packages with `python3 -m pip install -U codecov coveralls flake8 mypy pylint pytest tox`, then run the tests with `python3 -m tox`.
